If you are pregnant, live in or around the seacoast, and want to learn the ins and outs of a having a baby (and LOVE free stuff) be sure to check out the latest series of pregnancy workshops offered at Baby Go Round by the Great Bay Doulas.

Fall Workshop Series, Pregnant? Birth Savvy.

The Fall workshop is another series of the Doula’s famous “Mocktail Parties” for pregnant moms filled with hands on education, fun activities, camaraderie, snacks, swag bags, and door prizes.

Starting Thursday, September 29th from 6-8 PM the Fall Workshop Series will begin with the “Birth Savvy” event.  If you have questions like: “What is a birth plan?, Do I need one?” “Hospitals, birth centers, home birth…which is for me?” “What questions should I be asking my provider?” “What do I need to know to be an educated birth consumer?” then this is the workshop for you.  If you think that there must be other options, or points of view, than the 1 class offered at your hospital then this is the workshop for you.

Did I mention the free stuff?… I think I did, but there is so much it bears repeating.  Oh yeah, these ladies have really outdone themselves.  The Swag Bags are looking great and the Door Prizes are piling up.   The list of fabulous products is extensive and includes such notable favorites as: Little hSleepy WrapTeething Bling, Halo Sleep Sacks, PlanetwiseBG&CoBB Blocks, gDiapers, MotherwearMambino Organics, Earth Mamma Angel Baby, Thirsties Baby, Bio Oil, CJ’s Unique Boutique, Childlight Yoga, Little Sapling Toys, Sweet Baby Jane’sExpressiva, Meal Baby, Bambino Land, Diva Diapers, Baby Legs, Parenting NH Magazine, Lollie Kids, Boudreaux’s Butt Paste, Healing Hands Family Wellness, Green Earth Baby Works, Aden & Anais, Petite Bottoms, Wrapsody, Slings and Baby Things, Simple Wishes, Mommy Mitten, Preggy Pops,  Happy Tummy, Lollie Kids,  Snappi, Mayron’s Good Baby, and many more

Who are the Great Bay Doulas, you ask?  In short:  Krista Maltais (Koru Care Postpartum Doula Services) , Amy Peterson (Hound Hill Doula), and Darcy Sauers (Dover Doula).  The longer answer is best gathered by checking out their website and facebook page, because each woman has different areas of expertise and passion…basically they are pregnancy and newborn gurus.  They are here to assist with everything from baby and registry planning to supporting you during childbirth, from teaching you to expertly swaddle a newborn to helping you find your confidence as a new parent.  These ladies know their stuff and want to share it with you.

There are some details to get out of the way:  The first event, Birth Savvy, begins at 6 Pm on Thursday, September 29th at Baby Go Round, Inc. in Hampton Falls, NH.  This is the first of four events, once a month through December.  Be sure to check out the other events at the Great Bay Doula’s website.  The workshop registration fee is $10 per event, or $25 for the series of four.

I want to sweeten the deal a little bit and offer each participant a Gift Certificate to Baby Go Round in the amount equivalent to their registration fee…a $10 gift certificate for registering for “Birth Savvy” alone or a $25 gift certificate for registering for the whole series!

Still have questions?  Please contact Jessica at Baby Go Round, any of the ladies at Great Bay Doulas, or post you questions via facebook on the Great Bay Doulas wall.

***This series of workshops is just the beginning, we have another American Heart Association Friends and Family CPR class and Infant Massage Classes lined up in October with local Doula Stacey Swain.  Stay tuned or email for more information***
